New York’s imports of road fuels from India are soaring, with January volumes set to be more than eight times as high as last year’s average according to Kpler.
- The East Coast typically pulls in strong volumes from Europe but the upcoming Russian oil product ban will tighten the regions export capacity, pushing the US towards exporters like India.
- A fifth of the crude processed in India’s refineries now comes from Russia, blurring the lines between the effectiveness of western bans on its oil and products.
