US Extends License For Energy-Related Transactions With Russia
The US has extended a license allowing transactions related to energy for Russian banks subject to US sanctions until 15 May 2023.
- The US allows some energy-related transactions with several Russian banks to continue until May 2023, the Treasury Department said on Thursday.
- Banks that have received an extension in the license are Central Bank of Russia, Sberbank, VTP Bank, Alfa-Bank and others.
- On 5 December, the G7 price cap on Russian crude oil imports will come into effect, applicable for all Russian seaborne crude vessels that loaded after 5 Dec and unloaded at destination after 19 Jan 2023.
