US Gas Recovering from Yesterday's Sell Off

NATURAL GAS

US natural gas prices have marginally recovered after yesterday’s sell off.

  • The sell off came ahead of today’s EIA gas stock report which the market fears will show stocks are level with the five-year average after spending much of the year well below it. The market also sold off on warmer weather expectations.
  • The healthier domestic inventory levels are a result of a still-shut Freeport LNG export facility, and a mild start to the winter season.
  • US Natgas JAN 23 up 1.2% at 6.51$/mmbtu.
