OIL PRODUCTS

US gasoline pump prices have fallen for the third straight week, according to GasBuddy, with declines on the week in all 50 states.

  • The average US gasoline pump price is currently $3.638/gal, down 12.2 cents/gal on the week and 15.5 cents/gal lower than the September average, GasBuddy data showed.
  • GasBuddy expects, even despite the uncertainty around the conflict in Israel and impact on energy markets, that prices should continue to decline.
  • “I remain optimistic the national average could decline another 25-45 cents by late November, with prices potentially falling nearly triple that in California,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “
  • California has seen the largest fall on the week, down 20.9 cents/gal to $5.753/gal. The smallest fall was in Vermont, down 3.4 cents/gal on the week to $3.737/gal.
