US Jet Fuel Round Up

US kerosene stocks rose to their highest level since Nov. 3, up by 1.267m bbl on the week, according to the most recent EIA data Dec. 6. This allowed stocks to rebound after hitting a nine-month low the previous week.

  • Despite recently falling stocks, US gulf coast jet fuel prices are hovering around near five-month lows, with the Jet Fuel 54 Colonial Pasadena at $2.38/gal Dec. 5, according to Bloomberg.
  • US implied jet fuel demand is expected to be 1.545m b/d in the week to Dec. 11, up 0.3% on the week, according to BNEF.
  • Current BNEF forecasts see Jet fuel demand rising throughout the Christmas and New Year period, peaking in the week commencing Jan. 2.
  • Passenger seat numbers in the week commencing Dec. 4 are down 0.3% in North America, but remain 2% above the same period in 2019, according to OAG data.
