LNG: US LNG Feedgas Flows At Record Highs

US LNG feedgas flows are currently at a record high of 15.2 Bcf/d, up ~0.8 Bcf/d in the year to date, boosted by the ramp up of operations at Plaquemines LNG, according to Bloomberg data. 

  • Plaquemines LNG feedgas flows have reached 1.4 Bcf/d for the first time, in a sign that the plant is continuing to ramp-up to its 1.6 Bcf/d peak capacity.
  • The total flows equate to over a quarter of global LNG supply as the US has solidified its position as the world’s largest LNG exporter. 
  • Further US LNG export growth in 2025 is anticipated to be driven by Plaquemines LNG, Corpus Christi Stage 3 and expected stronger exports from Freeport LNG, according to IEA analysis.
