US Natgas Steady with Lower Production and Exports

US Natgas holding steady with strong production, high storage levels and near normal demand while LNG export flows fall back from recent highs.

    • US Natgas MAY 23 up 1.2% at 2.13$/mmbtu
  • Natural gas production has drifted slightly lower in recent days after reaching a high of 101.7bcf/d on 30 March. Yesterday was estimated by Bloomberg back down to 99.2bcf/d.
  • The latest NOAA weather forecast shows above normal temperatures across eastern and central areas of the US but below normal edging into the west coast. Domestic demand is today just above normal at 72.6bcf/d.
  • Pipeline natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals are today down to 13.3bcf/d according to Bloomberg with a drop in supply to Corpus Christi. Supply to Freeport LNG has remained stable at or just over 2.0bcf/d since 31 March.
  • Export flows to Mexico are down from the highs of last week at 5.6bcf/d yesterday.
