US Natural Gas Storage Seen Rising Last Week: Reuters

US natural gas storage is forecast to have showed another below-average build in the week to June 28, according to a Reuters poll of three analysts.

  • Estimates ranged from a rise of 22 bcf to 35 bcf, Reuters said. An average estimate was not provided.
  • This would be another below average injection, with the previous five-year average across 2019-2023 at around 73 bcf, based on Bloomberg data.
  • The EIA will provide the official data at 10:30 ET July 3.
  • The previous week showed higher heating demand due to warmer weather. During the week to June 29, the US was 18 CDD above normal, although a downward revision from below the forecast of 24 CDD.
