US Sanctioned Russian Ships Regularly Call at Turkish Ports

  • The Wall Street Journal report that Russian cargo ships sanctioned by the US for carrying weapons and other supplies have been regularly calling at Turkish ports since the invasion of Ukraine began, potentially threatening to further inflame relations between the US and Turkey. According to shipping records seen by The Wall Street Journal, the sanctioned Russian vessels have made more than 100 stops at ports along Turkey's coast since May 2022.
