US To Send 2,000 Troops To Germany, Poland Amidst Ukraine Escalation

Wires reporting that a US official has confirmed that President Joe Biden has approved the deployment of an additional 2,000 troops from Fort Bragg to Germany and Poland amidst a heightening of tensions with Russia over a possible invasion of Ukraine. Official also confirms that a 1,000-strong Stryker Suqadron infantry divsion currently in Germany will be repositioned to Romania.

  • Even with more US troops on the ground in Europe, the likelihood of US troops becoming engaged on the ground in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine remains an extremely remote possibility.
