US Treasuries trading modestly......>

US TSYS SUMMARY
US TSYS SUMMARY: US Treasuries trading modestly lower in a rather quiet
Asia/European session as there was minimal reaction to the highly anticipated
Trump/Kim meeting which seemed amicable. 5-yr to 10-yr part of the yield curve
is so far marginally underperforming the rest of the curve.
- US 10-yr note is 0.9bp higher at 2.961%, while 2s are 0.4bp higher at
2.524%and 30-yr 0.6bp higher at 3.10%.
- Trump and Kim signed an agreement pledging peace but lacked key details. North
Korea said it would "work towards complete denuclearization" and US agreed to
stop Korea war games but US sanctions would remain in place.
- Opening fall in German Bunds weighed on US Treasuries having traded slightly
higher for majority of Asian session. While UK/European data have had little
impact with markets eyeing US CPI later today, and big central bank decisions
later this week.
- US also due to sell $14bln 30-yr tsy today
- Eurodollar strip is steady to 0.5 tick lower albeit in very light volumes,
while breakevens are little changed but swap spreads a touch wider.
