US TSY/RECAP: US Tsys traded higher on Tuesday, closing in the top end of the
range after extending to session highs on the firing of Tillerson & US CPI data.
- Volume was modest. Flow included some deal- & auction-tied hedging, real money
bought 3-Years post CPI, fast money sellers in 10s & long end were sporadically
active into mid-US morning. Midday saw two-way flow with better buying in
intermediates to long end following the solid 30-Year auction.
- Swap spreads were wider by the bell, with long end outpacing short end late.
Modest deal & Tsy supply hedging in addition to sporadic rate paying in 2s, 10s
and 30s.
- T-Notes last 120-12+, US 10-Year yields last 2.843%.
