DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY last deals at Y109.88, virtually unch. on the day. The pair
advanced to session highs of Y110.04, but eased off thereafter, with the Nikkei
225 closing ~0.2% lower. 
- Worth mentioning Kyodo reported that Japanese PM Abe asked Chinese Pres Xi to
come to Japan this year, in what would be the first visit of a Chinese leader in
more than 10 years. 
- Bullish attention continues to be drawn to Y110.00, with several looks above
noted overnight. A jump above would bring yesterday's YTD high of Y110.16 into
play, followed by the upper Bollinger band (2%) at Y110.30. Meanwhile, bears
need a move through the Jan 30 high at Y109.74 before challenging yesterday's
low at Y109.43 
- Japanese focus this week turns to trade balance (BoP basis) due Friday & the
BoJ Rinban ops.
