USD Tends to Gain, GBP, NZD Historically Slip Over Month of May

  • The USD historically performs well over the month of May, with a 10-year average return for the month at +0.6%. Across G10 FX, NZD and GBP generate the poorest returns at -1.0% and -0.9% respectively against the USD. Scandi currencies similarly trade poorly, although CHF and CAD historically stand their ground.
