USDCAD Nudges To Session Low As Equities Offset Further Oil Decline

  • USDCAD pokes through to session lows of 1.3526 after a narrow ~20 pip range for the US session having earlier reversed nearly all of yesterday’s climb.
  • There appears to be mild resistance in the low 1.35s (yty low 1.3523) after which sits 1.3848 (Dec 27 low).
  • CAD performs relatively well on crosses despite a second day of sizeable WTI declines, with some offset from ESA moving higher today with a sharper increase in the past half hour.
