DOLLAR-CANADA: USDCAD picked up decent demand in Asia, the rate extending its
recovery off Thursday's low of C$1.3275 through Thursday's high of C$1.3315 and
pushing on to C$1.3327. Asian traders reported that the demand came mainly from
non-Canadian names and suggested interest was linked to option plays noting
strikes that mature Monday Aug26 from C$1.3310 to C$1.3350 amounting to $790mln.
- Canadian June retail sales due at 1230GMT. Market median -0.3% M/M, ex-auto
seen flat. 
- Rate currently trades around C$1.3320. Support C$1.3310/00, C$1.3285/75.
Resistance C$1.3327, stronger into C$1.3340.
