USDCAD Rebounds As Risk Sentiment Sours

CANADA
  • USDCAD continues its post-FOMC volatility, setting an at-the-time session high of 1.3446 after the FOMC announcement, sliding to a low of 1.3358 with the presser and now hitting new session highs of 1.3455.
  • It comes as equities/oil move lower again and increasingly negative Can-US yield differentials offer little resistance.
  • Earlier clearance of 1.3421 (Sep 30, 2020 high) has opened 1.3462 (1.618 proj of Aug 25–Sep 7–Sep 13 price swing) after which would lie the round 1.35.
