CANADA
  • Further USD weakness sees USDCAD -0.3% at 1.2738 having dipped below support at the 50-day EMA and then the May 24 low of 1.2765 overnight, next eyeing key short-term support at 1.2714 (May 5 low).
  • Largest option expiry happens to be nearby, 730m at 1.2760, plus a further 345m at 1.2750, which could provide some near-term pulling power but they are particularly large expiries.
  • CAD continues to yo-yo other high beta risk-on currencies, today lagging without a particular driver.
  • Data: No local releases of note leaving attention on a US data dump at 0830ET with the highlight likely PCE & spending/incomes.
