Vessel Signaling Prelude Changes to "For Orders"

LNG

The LNG vessel Symphonic Breeze was flagged by ICIS as signaling for Australia’s Prelude a couple of weeks ago, which it said at the time could have been indicating its imminent startup but now is unclear.

  • The vessel had signalled a course to Prelude for 6 December but has changed to “for orders”.
  • ICIS analysts said this may indicate work is ongoing at Prelude unless another ship starts heading there instead.
  • Prelude shut in May for an expected two months of maintenance.
  • It was then expected back in early December, matching with the prior expected arrival of Symphonic Breeze.
