Vessels Resume Unloading LNG at Milford Haven

The port of Milford Haven in the UK has resumed access to LNG tankers following restrictions at the start of the year due to bad weather. A backlog of ships is waiting to unload with 12 vessels expected into the UK in the next week.

  • A total of 30 vessel are current scheduled to arrive into terminals in NW Europe in the next couple of weeks.
  • Net LNG import flows into NW Europe were back up to 258mcm/d on 3 Jan with total European flows at 432mcm/d.
  • The US LNG netback to Europe for Feb is estimated to have declined to 14.90$/mmbtu compared to the US netback to Asia at 22.38$/mmbtu according to Bloomberg.

    • NBP FEB 23 up 6.9% at 163.66p/th
    • JKM Feb 23 down -3.7% at 28.27$/mmbtu
    • JKM-TTF Feb 23 down -2$/mmbtu at 7.11$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas FEB 23 down -8.2% at 3.83$/mmbtu
