WAF Oil Exports Rebound in August

West Africa's combined oil shipments jumped 8% on the month amid a rebound in Nigerian exports, according to Bloomberg.

  • Crude and condensate shipments from 10 countries increased by 10k b/d in August to 3.44m b/d.
  • Nigeria’s crude and condensate exports averaged 1.5m b/d in August, up from the 11-month low of 1.19m b/d in July.
  • Nigeria’s exports were able to recover after the Forcados terminal lifted its force majeure Aug. 13. Loadings from the terminal were up to 153k b/d compared to 61k b/d in July.
  • Angolan exports fell on the month, down 61k b/d to 1.09m b/d.
