US NATGAS: Waha Falls on Day

The Waha gas hub in Texas is down by 16.5 cents/MMBtu today, according to NGI. 

  • Total gas demand in the US Gulf region is up to 37.66 bcf/d, compared to 36.69 bcf/d yesterday, according to Bloomberg. The 30-day moving average is 38.11 bcf/d.
  • Permian output fell 1.4% to 20.55 bcf/d from 20.84 bcf/d yesterday. The 30-day moving average is 19.62 bcf/d.
  • Overall dry gas production in Texas remains strong, but is 0.11 bcf/d lower day-on-day at 30.86 bcf/d. The 30-day average is 29.33 bcf/d.
  • Exports to Mexico from the US Gulf are weaker at 5.46 bcf/d, compared to 5.61 yesterday, Bloomberg said.
  • Gas outflows from the Gulf region to other areas of the US are up by around 0.5 bcf/d to 11.51 bcf/d and compared to the 30-day moving average of 11.54 bcf/d.
