What to watch

OUTLOOK
  • The calendar today is busy, particularly for a Friday. This morning will see a slew of Eurozone data: We will receive French IP at 7:45GMT / 8:45 CET ahead of services PMI prints from Spain and Italy as well as final prints from France, Germany, the Eurozone, the UK and the US. Final PMI prints have failed to be market moving in recent months, but there is always a possibility if revisions are larger than expected. The most significant data point of the morning will be Eurozone PPI which is due for release at 10:00GMT / 11:00CET.
  • There will be a speech from BOE's Executive Head of Markets, Andrew Hauser (non-MPC member) on the lessons learnt from last year's LDI intervention, with the text due for release at 11:00GMT / 12:00CET.
  • This afternoon the highlight will be the US ISM services print, due at 15:00GMT / 16:00CET.
  • Today also sees a number of other speakers: ECB's Holzmann, de Guindos, Vasle, Muller and Wunsch are all due to appear as well as the Fed's Logan, Bostic and (after the European session) Bowman.
