What to Watch: EIA & Genscape Stocks and US Fed

  • The latest Genscape European ARA crude inventories will be released today at 09:00GMT. Data last week showed a large decline in stocks to 45.47mbbls compared to the five year average for this week of 53.0mbbls.
  • The EIA weekly petroleum inventory data is due for release this afternoon at 10:30 ET (15:30GMT). EIA data is expected to show a small crude inventory draw with a build in gasoline stocks and small draw in distillates as refinery utilisation recovers according to a Bloomberg survey.
  • The US Fed rate decision is expected at 14:00 ET with the central bank expected to leave rates on hold at 5.25% but with focus on the vote split, the guidance and the forecasts.
  • EIA are today due to update the monthly petroleum supply and the crude oil and natural gas production data for November.
