What to Watch: US Oil and Gas Stocks and ARA Product Stocks

  • The day delayed EIA weekly petroleum inventory data for the week ending Feb 16 is due for release this afternoon at 11:00 ET (16:00GMT). Crude inventories are expected to build by 4mbbl and gasoline and distillates stocks to show draws with a small recovery in refinery utilisation on the week according to a Bloomberg survey.
  • The EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Feb 16 will be released this afternoon at 15:30GMT. The expectation is for a draw of -59bcf according to a Bloomberg survey after a draw of -49bcf last week. The seasonal normal is a draw of -153bcf.
  • The updated Insights Global European ARA product inventories will be released today around 15:15GMT. Gasoil stocks were last week below normal at 1.95m mt compared to the five year average of 2.27m mt. ARA Gasoline stocks were last week up to 1.247m mt but still just below the five year average of 1.26m mt.
