USD/KRW fell ~0.4% yesterday as broader USD/Asia trends dominated flows. The pair sits a touch above the 1300 handle having marginally pared losses into the close.

  • Bulls target a break of high from 26 June (1309.35). Bears first look to break the 20-Day EMA (1298.44).
  • In the equity space yesterday KOSPI was little changed and KOSDAQ fell 0.6%. Nasdaq futures are pressured in early dealing after the WSJ reported that the US considers new curbs on Chinese chip export providing a possible negative lead for today's session.
  • On the wires this morning June Consumer Confidence rose to 100.7 from 98.0, this was the highest level since May 2022.
  • May's Retail Sales are on tap today, there is no estimate and the prior print was 4.0%.
