OIL: WTI & Brent have added $0.20 and $0.30 respectively overnight, with the
ongoing issues in Venezuela continuing to draw attention.
- Elsewhere, the latest API crude inventory estimate revealed a smaller than
expected headline build in crude stocks, with the build in gasoline stocks
topping estimates, while distillate inventories provided a surprise build.
Stocks at Cushing fell, according to the report.
- RTRS sources have suggested that that "Venezuela's state-run oil company PDVSA
is seeking to sidestep Trump administration sanctions restricting payments for
its oil by asking major buyers, including U.S. refiners, to renegotiate
contracts."
- Focus now moves to the weekly DoE inventory data, due Wednesday, with the
median exp. looking for a build of ~3.1mn bbl in headline crude stocks.
