- A total of 528kbbls of open May 23 options positions on CME and ICE are due to expire against the May future close today. Current aggregate open interest is 281k calls and 247k puts.
- The open interest across all WTI options on both exchanges is currently 1.98m calls and 1.23m puts.
- A significant volume of about 14k of both calls and put sits below the current market at the 80$/bbl strike with another 14k of calls above the current price at 85$/bbl.
