Yen Takes Lead, Antipodeans Lag Behind

The mood music in G10 FX space has turned more cautious despite an absence of notable fresh headline catalysts. The yen outperforms as we type, while Antipodean currencies bring up the rear.

  • AUD/JPY has already reversed yesterday's gains and dipped to a new four-week low, while NZD/JPY holds above yesterday's trough.
  • Coming up today we have German ZEW Survey and U.S. PPI, as well as comments from PBOC Gov Yi, Fed's Powell, Bullard, Daly & Kashkari, ECB's Lagarde, Knot, Schnabel, Panetta & Rehn and BoE's Bailey & Broadbent.
