Yulong Purchases Three Russian Cargoes for Test

China’s major new refinery, Yulong, has recently bought three Russian September delivery cargoes for its upcoming start according to Reuters sources.

  • Yulong’s 400,000 bpd petchem facility is set to start test runs in late September.
  • The facility bought two ESPO and one Sokol cargo for the test run.
  • The refinery is understood to have bought 5.1mn bbls off crude in total, including earlier purchases.
  • In April, Yulong received 8.3 million metric tons of crude oil import quota for 2024.
