IMF Program To Be Reviewed In May

ARGENTINA
  • Argentina will sell Treasury notes, dollar-linked bonds, inflation-linked bonds and a basket of inflation-linked instruments in an auction through 3pm local.
  • Argentina’s fiscal, monetary financing and structural targets in the loan agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund aren’t going to change, because they are objectives of the program, IMF Western Hemisphere Department Director Ilan Goldfajn says.
    • Argentine officials and IMF staff will hold a review of the program in May, instead of June as originally planned, to judge the program’s evolution and the impact of the global price shock from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. (BBG)
