UK VIEW: (2/2) BoE views continued:
- Citi: BoE will probably deliver its 2nd rate hike in this cycle this week with
a 8-1 vote. Medium-term growth and inflation forecasts should be largely
unchanged amid continued Brexit uncertainty.
- Lloyds: Expect BoE to raise rates to 0.75%, see MPC estimate of neutral rate
at 2-2.5%.
- Barclays: BoE now ready to hike this month after pulling back in May, see 8-1
vote.
- RBC: Expect unanimous 9-0 vote for BoE rate hike, but do not see wholesale
changes in GDP and CPI forecasts in Aug inflation report.
- Morgan Stanley: Expect BoE to vote 8-1 to hike rates with MPC having hawkish
bias as see MPC estimate of neutral rate at 2.5-2.75%.
- Commerzbank: Expect BoE to raise rates but see 1 or even 2 dissenters
