JGBS: A fairly quiet session to end the week on Fridya, JGB's were bid on the
open moving in tandem with global bonds after more signs of political strain int
eh US and the terrorist attack in Barcelona.
- An initial spike gave way to rangebound trade with the BoJ purchase operations
unchanged and taken down smoothly.
- JGB's rose in the afternoon session as risk off sentiment intensified and
USDJPY fell.
- JGB Opening Call Barclays: "Today could see a firm trend around the futures
sector, which rose further during evening trade at the end of last week, while
the superlong sector corrects somewhat ahead of Tuesday's 20y auction. The BoJ
is not scheduled to hold any buying operations today. This week's highlights
include the above-mentioned 20y auction and Thursday's liquidity enhancement
