AUD Supported, AUD/JPY close to 95.30

AUD

AUD/USD has been tracking higher during the morning session, ahead of the CPI release (due in around 30mins). We got close to 0.6960, before running out of a little momentum (last 0.6952). Note recent highs are around the 0.6980 region, while the 50 day-MA comes in at 0.6972. Broader USD sentiment is mostly softer (ex JPY) with US equity futures higher, led by the tech sector, which is offsetting an indifferent lead from regional equities in Asia Pac. AUD/JPY is up by around 0.30%, pushing towards 95.30. This is fresh highs going back to last Friday.
