A Little Firmer To Start

JGBS

Cash JGBS are flat to 2bp richer across the curve in early Tokyo trade, as participants react to the overnight bid in core global FI markets, with the curve flattening as 20s outperform. JGB futures have consolidated overnight gains after a blip above their post-Tokyo peak at the re-open, with a subsequent pullback leaving the contract +28. Local headline flow remains light thus far, with comments from some of the major global sovereign ratings agencies re: the policy situation in Japan proving to be inconsequential for markets.
