STIR: A mild risk-off theme has been the main driver of markets this morning as
headlines suggest negotiations have stalled and EU negotiators are sceptical
that a Brexit deal can be reached that May will be able to force through
parliament.
- Short sterling Whites are 0.5-1.5 ticks higher on the day, Reds 1.5-2.5 ticks
higher while Greens and Blues are 2.5-3.5 ticks higher.
- Today's ECB meeting will be the highlight of the day with the market focused
on the staff projections and whether or not a new TLTRO is announced. The
Euribor strip has shifted higher with Whites 0.5 ticks higher, Reds 0.5-2 ticks
higher with Blues and Greens 2-2.5 ticks higher.
- The Eurodollar strip has also shifted higher with the biggest moves seen in
Reds and Greens which have moved up to 2.5 ticks higher. Brainard speaks today
while productivity data is released. However, the ECB and tomorrow's employment
report are likely to overshadow today's domestic events.
