US TSYS
US TSYS: A very tight re-open for T-Notes after the contract pushed lower on
Thursday, with the belly of the curve underperforming.
- Confirmation of the October Sino-U.S. ministerial level trade meeting in
Washington and lower level talks that will take place during September shunted
the space lower in Asia hours on Thursday.
- Stronger than expected headline U.S. data in the form of the ADP employment
print and non-m'fing ISM (although the survey's employment component pointed to
slower growth in hiring) then added further pressure.
- Corporate issuance remains in vogue as firms scamper to take advantage of the
low yield environment after the summer hiatus.
- NFP's and an address from Fed Chair Powell provide the headline risk events in
NY hours.
