ACGB Jun-51 Auction Prices Well, Cover Soft

AUSSIE BONDS

The latest ACGB Jun-51 auction goes largely as expected, with pricing on the strong side (weighted average yield printing 0.96bp through prevailing mids, per Yieldbroker), while the cover ratio was on the softer side barely topping 2.00x. Continued market vol. and speculation surrounding the potential for an imminent ACGB Nov-33 syndication seems to have limited wider demand, although the likelihood that the tap was driven by AOFM liaison meant that pricing was always likely to come down on the firmer side., which negated any impact from a soft cover.
