ADNOC Sees Gas Sales Stable in 2024: Platts

NATURAL GAS

ADNOC Gas expects little change in its sales for 2024 compared to the previous year, according to Platts.

  • Forecasted sales for 2024 are in the range of 93-97 Bcm, compared to around 97.8 Bcm in 2023.
  • Exports of liquid sales are expected to be 26.1-26.6 Bcm, down from 27.7 Bcm in 2023.
  • ADNOC supplies around 60% of the UAE’s domestic gas needs, with the rest imported from Qatar.
  • ADNOC’s share of LNG production volumes – its most profitable line – fell 4% on the year.
  • The company is planning to add two 4.8m mtpa LNG trains to its Ruwais hub in Abu Dhabi, boosting its current capacity of 6m mtpa of LNG and 10 Bcf/d of natural gas.
  • It forecasts that natural gas demand will increase 15% in the next 10-years.
  • One reason that the company’s revenues declined was that Asian spot LNG prices fell 53% on the year in 2023.
