The International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) latest monthly Market Analysis report showed:
- Industry-wide revenue passenger-kilometers (RPKs) reached 96.1% of pre-COVID levels in May, up 39.1% y/y.
- Domestic RPKs were above 2019 levels for the second month in a row.
- International RPKs were at 90.8% of 2019 levels.
- Recent China figures show overall air miles travelled figure tracking towards pre-pandemic levels driven by a summer rebound in is international travel.
