Alberta Oil Output Falls to 4-Month Low on Oil Sands Maintenance

Oil production in Alberta, Canada fell to 3.81m b/d in October, down 57.6k b/d on the month, according to Bloomberg citing Alberta Energy Regulator data, the lowest level in four months.

  • Production declined amid a 67k b/d drop in oil sands output, driven by maintenance at oil sands sites.
  • Conventional oil output rose 5.4k b/d to 524k b/d, the highest level since April.
