Algeria’s Crude Exports Hit 17-Month Low in Feb

Observed crude and condensate exports from Algeria in February fell to their lowest monthly level since Sep. 2022 amid a plummet in flows to Europe, according to Bloomberg.

  • Exports in February were 359k b/d, compared to 439k b/d in January.
  • Crude exports were down 11% on the month to 330k b/d, while condensates were down 57% to 29k b/d.
  • No shipments have been observed from Skikda in the last five months.
  • Shipments to France were down 22k b/d on the month to 64k b/d. By comparison, flows to France were 163k b/d in November.
  • Flows to the ARA were down 70k b/d on the month to just 8k b/d, while flows to Italy were down 27k b/d to 52k b/d.
  • Flows to Spain picked up on the month to reach 41k b/d in Feb, up 23k b/d from January.
