April Economic Activity Misses Expectations

  • Activity declined 1.2% in April from the previous month and rose 28.3% when compared to the pandemic-depressed level in April 2020.
  • Argentine economic activity fell for a third consecutive month in April, illustrating the challenges for a recovery amid a continued pandemic and inconsistent policy framework. There is little reason to expect a significant improvement in activity over the remainder of the year. (Bloomberg)
