STOCKS: Asia-Pacific stocks fell afoul of the feedthrough from the risk off tone
that was observed on Thursday as EM/trade war worry weighed on risk sentiment.
- The Nikkei 225 lost 0.2%, as financials led the index lower, with automakers
also adding a notable degree of weight. The stronger JPY also weighed.
- Chinese stocks recovered after some early pressure, the CSI 300 moved to near
unchanged as USD/CNH eased and the official Chinese PMI releases beat exp.
- The Hang Seng was less resilient, losing 1.0% as IT & consumer staples added
the most weight, with all of the major sectors trading lower.
- Australia's ASX 200 was 0.3% worse off, with telecoms & materials weighing.
- U.S. index futures were mixed.
