Asia Unwinds Some Of Wednesday’s Omicron Worry

US TSYS

TYH2 trades -0-01 at 130-28+, at session lows, operating within a 0-07+ range thus far. Cash Tsys run 1.5-2.5bp cheaper across the curve shortly after the re-open, with the 5- to 10-Year zone leading the weakness. Some of Wednesday’s Omicron worry has been wound out of the space, aided by an uptick in e-minis, where the 3 major contracts run ~0.5% above settlement levels. Could regional participants be focusing on reports which have played down the mortality threat presented by Omicron?
