Japanese buyers are beginning to look for replacement cargoes to offset supply outages, Bloomberg said.

  • This is as higher temperatures in Japan forecast September-November may further push up spot demand.
  • Traders said that Japanese buyers are looking at the demand outlook as cargoes have been delayed from Malaysia’s Bintulu complex.
  • Nonetheless, Asian spot prices for October and November have softened on larger inventories.
  • Chinese spot buyers could also offer excess cargoes given mild demand from the country.
