AUD/JPY: Closes Above 20-Day EMA

AUD/JPY prints at ¥94.15/20, the pair firmed in the NY session alongside US Equities on Monday finishing ~0.5% higher.

  • Having closed above the 20-Day EMA (¥93.98) for the first time since mid-August the pair looks to sustain it’s break of the measure. Bulls then look to break the top of the bear channel which has persisted since mid-June at ¥94.59 which opens the high from 10 Aug (¥94.94) and the high from 26 July (¥95.90).
  • On the downside bears look to break the low from 18 Aug (¥92.79) which opens the 200-Day EMA (¥92.62) and the post BOJ low from July (¥91.80).
  • This morning we have the July Jobless Rate from Japan, which is expected to hold steady at 2.5%.
