  • AUD/NZD finished Thursday's session up 0.34% at 1.0847. The cross ticked higher throughout the session breaking back above the 200-day EMA, and now rests just below the 100-day EMA. Focus will turn to AU GDP on Wednesday.
  • Looking at technicals, initial support is 1.0800 (round number) a break below here would open a retest of 1.0762 (Apr 19 low), a break above 1.0853 (100-day EMA) would open a move back to the 1.0900 area.
  • The AU-NZ 2Y swap is 12.5bps higher at -71bps.
  • Option expiries: 1.0850 ($200m), 1.0725 ($200m) for May 31st NY Cut
