AUSSIE-KIWI
AUSSIE-KIWI: AUD/NZD has added 5 pips and last deals at NZ$1.0418 after closing
virtually unchanged Monday, as both Antipodean currencies were supported by
developments in Sino-U.S. trade relations.
- Worth mentioning RBNZ Dep Gov Bascand spoke today, said that the plan to
increase bank capital requirements could reduce the cost of borrowing for the
government. Bascand also denied that the new rules would impair economic growth.
Muted/no reaction to Bascand's speech noted in the FX space.
- Bulls look to retake NZ$1.0431, which capped yesterday's gains, before
challenging the 21-DMA, which is located a further 30 pips above. Conversely,
bears need a fall below the psychological NZ$1.0400 figure before targeting
yesterday's low of NZ$1.0393.
