AUSSIE-KIWI: AUD/NZD last NZ$1.0485, dealing 19 pips higher on the day, aided by
the release of a stronger than exp. Chinese Caixin services PMI, which aided the
Antipodeans, lifting AUD atop the G10 pile.
- This comes after the pair closed some 30 pips lower Thursday, after recouping
most of the losses registered in early Asia-Pac flash crash, which saw AUD/NZD
register its lowest low in more than 3 years.
- Initial resistance noted at the 21-DMA at NZ$1.0497, followed by yesterday's
high of NZ$1.0508. On the downside, initial focus falls on the Dec 27 low of
NZ$1.0465 and a break below would open up NZ$1.0441, where the rate bottomed on
Dec 25.
